Custom Woodworking Furniture in San Antonio

Finding furniture that fits your room, your style, and your needs is not always easy. That is where custom work can help. At Dyer Custom Woodworking, we build furniture and cabinetry around the space and purpose you have in mind. If you need a custom cabinet in San Antonio, a built-to-size table, or furniture for an unusual space, we can discuss your project and help you decide what makes sense.

We focus on careful construction, useful design, and lasting quality. Every project starts with understanding what you need rather than trying to fit your needs into a standard product.

A Custom Cabinet in San Antonio Built to Your Needs

A cabinet may need to fit between two walls, match existing furniture, or provide storage in a space with limited room. Standard sizes do not always work. Custom cabinetry lets us build around those details.

Our work includes bookshelves, buffets, display cases, entertainment centers, mantels, nightstands, tables, beds, seating, and other furniture. We have also built specialized pieces, including church furniture, school display cases, yoga walls, and commercial millwork.

If you already have a detailed drawing, we can generally work from it. If you have an idea but need help with the design, we can discuss your needs and develop the project with you.

Furniture Designed for Your Space

Custom furniture can solve problems that store-bought pieces cannot. We have built furniture for rooms with unusual dimensions, specific storage needs, and limited space.

Our San Antonio projects have included large entertainment centers, custom bed frames, bar tabletops, dining-room shelving, and other pieces made to specific measurements.

This approach gives you more control over the size, design, materials, and finish. It also means the finished piece can be made for the way you actually use the room.

Custom Home Office Furniture in San Antonio

A home office should support the work you do every day. We can create furniture around your available space, storage needs, and preferred layout.

Custom home office furniture in San Antonio can be useful when a standard desk or shelf leaves wasted space or does not provide the storage you need. We can discuss the dimensions and functions that matter most before construction begins.

Our Approach to Custom Woodworking

We believe customers should understand what they are paying for. Custom furniture is not always less expensive than store-bought furniture. If a standard piece meets your needs, buying it may be the better choice.

Custom work makes sense when you want specific dimensions, design input, unique details, or construction that is difficult to find in mass-produced furniture.

Once a design is accepted, a 50% deposit places the project into our production schedule. Customers can also request digital photos while their piece is being built.

We choose finishes based on the project and its intended use. A professionally sprayed satin lacquer is one finish we often prefer. Unless otherwise agreed, each piece leaving our shop is guaranteed to last the lifetime of the original owner, provided it has not been abused.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do you build custom cabinets to exact measurements?

Yes. We can build cabinets around specific measurements, room layouts, storage needs, and design preferences. This is helpful when standard cabinets cannot provide the right fit.

2. What types of custom furniture do you build?

We build many types of furniture, including tables, beds, bookshelves, buffets, display cases, entertainment centers, mantels, seating, nightstands, and specialized pieces.

3. Can you match existing furniture?

Yes. We can discuss your existing furniture, wood, finish, and design details when planning a new piece. Past projects have included furniture and millwork made to match existing surroundings.

4. How much does custom furniture cost?

Pricing depends on the design, size, materials, joinery, finish, and design time. We provide project-specific pricing because each custom furniture project has different requirements.
